The Global Commons Alliance and the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions are hosting a Nature Positive for Climate Action Workshop at 10am-12pm on 25 June, as part of London Climate Action Week 2024.
The invite-only workshop aims to collectively design the Nature Positive for Climate Action roadmap toward CBD COP16, COP29 and COP30, as well as explore opportunities for collaboration.
Nature Positive for Climate Action (NP4CA) is the call to action for non-state actors – corporates, financial institutions, cities and sub-national authorities – to accelerate climate action by contributing to the halting and reversing of nature loss by 2030 and contributing to the well-being of the most vulnerable populations.
Call to action
Co-convened by Global Commons Alliance and Climate Champions Team, NP4CA call to action was launched last year at London Climate Action Week 2023, followed by a series of events at Regional Climate Weeks and COP28. The call to action is spearheaded by HE Razan Al-Mubarak, UN High-Level Climate champions and Dr Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, CBD Action Agenda Champion. Since then, over 250 businesses and other actors have now committed to advancing one or more asks of the call to action.
Now is the time for leading companies and financial institutions to ensure the nature and climate agenda continues to be effectively driven in tandem.
The workshop will take place at the London KPMG Office, with a breakfast presentation from 9am-10am by KPMG and WBCSD and a networking lunch from 12pm. Please RSVP to Cathy Li by 31 May to attend.
