Official Side Event – Justice and Wellbeing within Planetary Boundaries: Pathways for COP30
28/10/2025
On November 15 at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, the Global Commons Alliance, Earth4All and Earth Commission hosted Official Side Event: ‘Justice and Wellbeing within Planetary Boundaries: Pathways for COP30’.
In a world marked by geopolitical turbulence, recognizing climate change’s connection to the new threat environment is essential. Systems thinking enables us to link environmental, social, and geopolitical dynamics — revealing how climate risks amplify instability and the need for integrated responses.
Through keynote presentations and an interactive panel discussion, we will explore:
✅ The importance of systems-based approaches.
✅ The Earth Commission’s Safe and Just Space framework and the Earth4All System Dynamics Modeling.
✅ How to equip COP to move beyond fragmented, siloed approaches toward integrated strategies – to help policymakers navigate complex security challenges, build resilient alliances, and accelerate transformational, science-based climate action that safeguards both people and the planet.
