Chair, Global Commons Alliance
The Global Commons Alliance (GCA) formed to catalyze urgent action at an unprecedented scale to protect and restore the Global Commons – the natural resources we all need to survive, thrive, and prosper (e.g., land, oceans, freshwater, climate, biodiversity). The mission of the GCA is to empower citizens, companies, and countries to become good stewards of the Global Commons and support the future stability of the planet.
Following an in-depth strategic review process in Q4 2021, the GCA decided to evolve its governance structure and to constitute a new Steering Committee as the central governance body, providing guidance, support, and oversight on achieving progress against mission, priorities, and initiatives.

Development Coordinator, Global Commons Alliance
The Global Commons Alliance (GCA) formed to catalyze urgent action at an unprecedented scale to protect and restore the Global Commons – the natural resources we all need to survive, thrive, and prosper (e.g., land, oceans, freshwater, climate, biodiversity). The mission of the GCA is to empower citizens, companies, and countries to become good stewards of the Global Commons and support the future stability of the planet.
During a strategic review process in Q4 2021, the GCA aligned around the need for a full-time Development Coordinator to hold primary responsibility for supporting the GCA Steering Committee, Coordination Team, and Investor Collaborative in identifying and garnering additional resources for the GCA to secure core and aligned funding for GCA 2.0.

Science Based Targets Network: Marketing & Comms Manager
Opportunity for a marketing & communications manager to be at the vanguard of the global movement towards a nature positive future.
SBTN is also part of the Global Commons Alliance (GCA) which is working at the nexus of nature and climate to scale science-based action to protect people and the planet. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to raise awareness of SBTN and encourage companies, industry coalitions and consultancies to engage with SBTN – including its guidance for companies on science-based targets for nature and our corporate engagement program in which 100 organizations with a market cap of approx $3 trillion are currently participating.
Position Type: Fixed-term, 6-month initial contract with likelihood of extension.

Communications Officer, Future Earth (Sweden)
Future Earth is looking for a skilled science communications officer to contribute to wide range of transformative sustainability research projects including the Earth Commission. The position is based at Future Earth in Stockholm.
We are looking for a creative, structured and productive person to join our international communications team. This fixed-term position will work closely with the Communications Director and focus on maintaining various digital channels, enhancing science to policy outreach, and supporting preparations for the launch of the Earth Commission assessment in 2022/23 and the production and roll-out of the 10 New Insights in Climate Science in late 2022.
Position Type: Full time, 12-month fixed-term contract
